Normec Product Testing (SPT) is a joint venture between VITO and the Servaco/Normec Group: Link.
The new company focuses on product emission testing and VOC reduction performance testing. The product emission tests analyse the impact of all kinds of building and consumer products and materials on indoor air quality. The Joint Venture has departments in Mol and Wetteren.
Product emission testing by VITO/SPT is accredited by BELAC in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 (We have ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for the new EN 16516 (2017) & EN 16402 (2013) and equivalent ISO 16000 series and ASTM emission test standards including CA Specification 01350, UL 2818, UL 2821, etc ), our accreditation is valid world-wide via mutual acceptance within ILAC. The product emission tests are carried out according to the accredited SPT procedures QM001, QM002 and QM003.
